Background to the school
Endeavour Schools, located in Port Kennedy, is a truly inclusive school setting where Endeavour Primary School and Endeavour Education Support Centre work together to support the learning needs of all students aged 4-11.
Programs are designed to enhance student independence, creativity and maturity within a stimulating and challenging learning environment incorporating the latest technology.
Deputy Principal, Greg Croll, was keen to explore new educational tools to support these objectives.
What was the challenge?
Greg was looking for a resource that would be accepted by teachers and help to improve teaching and learning processes across a range of subjects. Interactive Whiteboards foster teachers’ creativity and generate high levels of engagement and enthusiasm so it basically came down to selecting the right product.
What solution did Endeavour settle on and why?
After considering a number of options, Greg chose Promethean IWB’s saying the size of the screens, the durability of the boards and the ActivInspire software made them the obvious choice. Promethean IWB’s are now used by all teachers and students at Endeavour and staff regularly share the different ways they incorporate their use in their day-to-day teaching.
Would you recommend Concept AV. If so, why?
Yes. We are extremely happy with the partnership we have developed with Concept AV over the years. Concept AV were always just a phone call away and the training they offer is second to none. It’s not just about the tools but how to effectively use the IWB in a teaching environment to inspire the children. The Promethean IWB’s are reliable, versatile and very easy to use. They are used every day across all curriculum areas and year levels and have become an integral part of the teaching and learning environment at Endeavour.

Hamilton Senior High School reaches 44 digital classrooms
Hamilton Senior High School is a Microsoft Partner in Learning National Lead School. For the past 4 years the primary focus has been to integrate technology into the curriculum and not just have a device in hand but rather equipping classrooms for digital delivery. Phil Casas is the Deputy Principal at Hamilton Senior High School and he talks to us about his experience with Concept AV.
Why did you choose to partner with Concept AV?
I have been working with Concept AV since 1986. Service and backup are very important to the school.
“Once you have paid your money, you are never on your own with Concept AV.”
Ultimately it is about having open, honest, effective working relationships, with a focus on getting the job done.
Over the years, Concept AV has provided Promethean Interactive Whiteboards to the school. This year, Hamilton Senior High School priority was to equip as many classrooms within their very tight budgetary constraints. Concept AV understood the school's needs and recommended Hitachi’s interactive projectors and LCD’s which meant that the school could digitally equip 16 classrooms and come within budget.
What have been the main benefits for you as a school?
The main benefits to the school have been a complete focus on our priorities and swift responses to issues that affect teaching and learning. No more frustrations where you are waiting for responses on technical issues or training. Concept AV offered a bespoke training package based on the schools needs.
Over the years, the school has ensured that they have purchased their digital equipment as a fleet - whole parcels at the same time. The benefits for teachers are that they see all the same 46 digital devices. This gives them the ability to develop lesson plans on a single piece of software and use it in any room whether it is on the IWB, interactive projector or interactive touch panel. From a management point of view – this means commonality of issues. Maintenance and repair is easier - Common components – e.g. only 2 types of globes for the projectors. Curriculum – Whatever room the teacher is working in, they have the same access to the digital learning platform.
Would you recommend Concept AV? If so, why?
Yes I would recommend schools to partner with Concept AV. As stated above, it is all about peace of mind to ensure your school has the backup support required. However, to be successful you need a partnership with clear focus, accountability, good communications and the right relationship and we have all of this with Concept AV.

Rio Tinto business units operating within the control room of their ROC identified a need for two video wall systems to be utilised for operational purposes, servicing a significant number of key operational personnel. The size and operational capacity of the
video wall systems represented a challenge of both structure and function requiring suitable product and engineering knowledge.
The system installed incorporates a curved Video Wall made up of an array of 2 high by 10 wide rear projection 70 1920x1080 units, and a straight Video Wall also made of an array of 2 high and 10 wide rear projection units. Both walls have been designed with the ability to expand both in height and width.
With 29 years in the AV industry, I have seen many changes however none greater than the last 3 years.
